Please Play Ball With Me Mom

I want to play ball so bad my eyes are green. Mom says I can't run for a couple of weeks and she refuses to throw my ball. I can't tell you how bored I am. At least they let me chew on the ball and they did put some temporary sod on the patio because they won't let me climb the stairs to my yard. Love,Neko

Home Sweet Couch

I am home as of today. Grandpa is here helping mom's with me and he tends to be quite generous with the treats, bring it on. My surgery went well and I am going to have the toughest scar. Too bad my hair is going to grow in and cover it up. Tivo and the animal planet are keeping the boredom at bay for now. I feel blessed to have the family and friends in my life that rallied for me, love to you all. Neko

Awake

The vet just called and said Neko is awake and the surgery went well. We will go and see her in a couple of hours and get some pics to post later. Thank You to everyone for being with us through this. Love, Neko's Moms

Bored

The drugs are making me feel all better so why can't I go outside and play? I keep ringing the bell but mom won't open my door. Tomorrow is the big day. Thank You to everyone again who is praying for my fast recovery so that I can go out and play. Love,Neko

Neko's Nest

Moms have turned our living room into a giant nest so that we can all be on bed rest together. I am only allowed to get up for potty. All of my food and water are in the nest. The drugs are making me feel no pain and we are all grateful for that. Thank You to everyone for prayers and Aire Zen, it means a lot to us. Please keep it coming, You all continue to be very powerful to me. Love,Neko

Diagnosis

Hi everyone. I know that all of the love coming our way has helped me and my Moms tremendously over the past couple of days and we are very grateful to you all. After an MRI my awesome Orthopedic Surgeon, Kimberly Carlson D.V.M. from Berkeley Dog and Cat Hospital has been able to diagnose me. I am scheduled to have surgery on Tuesday to have a vertebrae removed from my lower back that is compressing my nerve roots OUCH! That is the short version of many large words one of which is Spondylitis.
I am home with my Moms for a few days after 2 overnights in the hospital. I am on Tramadol,Prednisone,Cephalexin,Pepcid AC, and Acepromazine. It may sound like a party but it is just keeping me comfortable until Tuesday and best of all I am home for the weekend. These photos are my time at the vet, tomorrow I will post some of me at home. Please keep the love coming, we have a long week ahead of us. Love,Neko
